Black
Knapweed |
Black Knapweed is a bit like a thistle without the spines. A tallish plant with brush-like, purple flower heads on top of a ball of pale brown and dark brown 'bracts' (small leaf-like appendages). Found in grassy places everywhere and in flower during the summer and early autumn.
