Greater
Celandine |
Greater Celandine is no relation to Lesser Celandine, being a member of the Poppy family instead. A bushy, rather greyish plant with flowers having 4 yellow petals appearing from mid spring to mid autumn, the distinctive feature is the orange coloured juice flowing through the stems. More common in England and Wales than in Scotland, it likes to grow against walls and near buildings, though not exclusively so.
