Betony

Betony is an erect Dead-nettle type plant with bright red-purple lipped flowers from early summer to mid autumn. The leaves are crinkly and often upturned.

Common in England and Wales, but rare in Scotland, on heaths, open woods and grassy places, usually on light soil.
