The Giant Bellflower is a tall, striking plant with large, pale blue, bell shaped flowers opening in turn up a long central stalk. Found in woodlands, in hedge-banks and dry-stone walls very frequently in the north of England, less commonly the further north or south one travels. In flower from mid-summer to early September.
