Chiltern Society volunteers work at the
following sites ... Ewelme Watercress Beds
Work parties generally take place on the 1st Saturday and 3rd Wednesday of
the month.
Meet at the Watercress Beds Centre in the High Street, Ewelme at 9:30am. Work
will continue until about 12:30pm, usually various maintenance tasks in the
meadows and the stream. Wellies are essential. Tools and gloves are provided.
Mill Meadows, Henley
With the Henley Wildlife Group at Mill Meadows, generally on the 1st Wednesday
of the month.
Meet at the car park at the end of Mill Lane, OS Landranger
175 Grid Reference 771817 at 9:30am, work continuing until about 12:30pm. Work
involves management of the small wildlife area around a stream and 3 ponds. Wellies
or other stout footwear recommended, and gloves if you have them. Refreshments
are provided.
In addition, guided walks often take place at the
Ewelme Watercress Beds on the 1st Sunday of the month. See the Chiltern
