This image contrasts with one of the 1930s when the bridge ahead, then known as Crown Bridge, was in the process of being widened. This is the bridge that carries the King's Road over the Kennet and Avon canal. The only surviving building from the old Huntley & Palmer biscuit making site is in the centre of the photo.
