The small parish of Shottesbrooke, near White Waltham, includes the manor and grounds of Shottesbrooke Park. The manor dates back to the 16th century and although it is a private residence, it can be seen from the adjoining churchyard, which has public access.

Next to a public footpath in the grounds is a lake surrounded by trees, some of them appearing to be quite old.
