At Marsh lock, on the southern boundary of Henley-on-Thames, the towpath deviates across to the lock and back again to the same bank over a couple of long, wooden bridges. The lock keeper's house can be seen on the left of the picture and on the extreme left is part of the weir. Between the two a salmon ladder was installed in 1996.
