Tucked away in unspoilt countryside on the edge of the Chiltern Hills, the ancient church of St Botolph in the parish of Swyncombe comes alive every winter when a large carpet of snowdrops appears in the churchyard. On a Sunday in early February, known as Snowdrop Sunday, talented local musicians play in the church while gifts, tea and cakes are usually on sale.
