| Gatehampton
bridge, a mile or so downstream of Goring, was built by Isambard
Kingdom Brunel to carry the Great Western Railway over the river
Thames.
It has
twisted
brick
arches
and is said to be one of the 'Wonders of the Thames'. The train
crossing it has not been so enduring. Find the location on an interactive map. |
