| In
1972 a botanic garden and adjacent experimental grounds were established
on about 12 acres of the Whiteknights campus at Reading University.
This was on the same site as the famous landscape garden created
by George, Marquis of Blandford in the early 1800s. It was renamed
the Harris Garden in memory of the late Professor Tom Harris, a
distinguished palaeo-botanist and gardener. Seen here is the Rose Garden, one of several features of the garden. Find the location on an interactive map. |
