| Anyone
in Wargrave or in Shiplake would have to undertake a journey or
several miles to visit the other community by road, even
though the two are separated only by a short distance and
the River Thames. However, both villages are served by the railway, a small single track branch line between Twyford, on the London Paddington main line, and Henley. The stations are less than a mile apart, the Wargrave one just beyond the end of the bridge on the opposite bank. Find the location on an interactive map. |
