| The
horse chestnut trees growing here beside the River Kennet provided
the name of a pleasant riverside walk from the Abbey Ruins to Watlington
Bridge ... Chestnut Walk. In 1999 the name was changed to the Oscar
Wilde Memorial Walk in memory of the poet and playwright's stay
at the nearby Reading Gaol. Find the location on an interactive map. |
